These are applied by specifying for TR7 some additional command line arguments. Those arguments HAVE TO BE defined in an EXTERNAL file as below (they can't be specified directly when running TLR.exe)
Assuming TR7 is installed on drive G:
(don't care about its installation folder. It's the drive that counts. Thanks to ANoDE for this point)
Create a new file with the path: "G:TR7gamepctr7.arg"
In this file you can specify additional command line arguments (switches) for TR7 with the following pattern:
-switch1 [option1] -switch2 [option2] ... -switchN [optionN]
List of switches:
-NOHEALTH
Disable Health (godmode). This switch has no option.
Note that Lara is not completely immortal. She still dies if she falls from a high place.
-PLAYER <playerName>
Select a player (the outfit), where playerName can be one of the following values:
amanda_player
amanda_player_alt
lara
lara_alt
lara_alta
lara_altb
lara_altc
lara_biker
lara_biker_alt
lara_biker_nj
lara_bikini
lara_bikini_alt
lara_catsuit
lara_catsuit_snow
lara_classic
lara_classic_alt
lara_evening_alt
lara_evening_alta
lara_evening_red
lara_goth
lara_goth_alt
lara_special_forces
lara_special_forces_alt
lara_sport
lara_sport_alt
lara_suit
lara_suit_alt
lara_winter
lara_winter_alt
lara_winter_alt_nj
lara_winter_alta
lara_winter_alta_nj
lara_winter_nj
lara_young
Note:
* You can specify any number of switches
* [option] is only available depending on the associated switch that stands before it
* All switches have to be specified IN ONE LINE (multi-lines are NOT applicable)
* Custom outfits can't be applied to the beginning of Japan, Peru flashback and some cinematics...
For example:
To make Lara immortal and select the Classic outfit for her, the file TR7.arg should contain:
-NOHEALTH -PLAYER lara_young
I found these by looking at content of the file TRL.exe and guessed, trial-and-errors...
It seems that some more advanced settings (cheats, debugging...) can be accessed right from the main menu (in-game), but they are disabled (hidden) for now.
[updated: The debug version (TR7.pdb) has a switch -DEBUGMENUS for this. But it is dropped out of the final TR7.exe]
There are some more switches that I currently don't figure what they are for (they might have some option for their own):
-NOHINTS
-CHAPTER
-CHAPTERVARS
-NOMONSTERATTACK
-EASYCHEAT
-DRAWMONSTERATTACK
-DRAWMONSTERCOMBAT
-NOTRACE
-NOVIBRATION
-MAINMENU
-NOMONSTERHEALTH (it seems the monsters can't be killed if this switch is specified)
-NOMAINMENU
-SRCONFIG="PC-W"
I hope that one day Eidos/Crystal Dynamics will publish all of these...
Cheers
[update] The meanings of the switches -NOMAINMENU and -CHAPTER have been found by ANoDE in one of the next replies.
[update] These work with TR7 that has been applied the official patch v1.2 (maybe 1.1? too). But it seems they don't work with the original version of TR7.
[update] The switch -FONTNAME is useless. If it's specified, it must be:
-FONTNAME default, which is the same as unspecified; otherwise, TR will crash...
[update] If no arguments are specified, the following arguments are used quietly by default: -mainmenu -srconfig="PC-W" -debugmenus
This makes it obvious why the developers chose to drop the switch -debugmenus out of the final TRL.exe |

Hi!
Some of you might have noticed already, but I thought, I'll make it's own thread about it!
I just finished a beta version of the Legend Startup Configuration utility.
This SCU enables you to load any Level directly, without loading the main-menu. You can also choose any outfit for the loaded level (for example the bikini )
There is also support for some developer-options, but I don't have figured out, what they do (except for godmode).
You can download the latest Version (V 0.5) here: http://www.uploading.com/?get=3VV6BNFI
Please be aware, that this SCU will NOT work with unpached versions of the game!
EDIT: IMPORTANT: YOU MUST HAVE MICROSOFT .NET FRAMEWORK INSTALLED TO GET IT RUNNING!
EDIT: I have removed the "Evening (Lara Might not react)" outfit from the SCU because it causes REALLY STRANGE things when not used in Japan. Until I know, that the outfit isnt harmful, this option will stay grayed out.
UPDATE: Updated to Version 0.5 - Evening Dress re-enabled (but with warning message)
Added an option to restore normal settings
corrected the -nomonsterhealth switch
And by the way - if necessary you may host the file on other servers as well. I use uploading.com just because I don't know another file-serving-service |
It's so funny look at these videos, I haven't got the PC version btw.

WTF was up with Lara in that last video? That dancing was even worse than Shakira's...
Thanks for those cheats, I might try them out once I install the game again... That's IF I do. _________________ W•RsHip Yøur DaRk OvErLOrÐ

So, I guess that these codes only apply to the PC version & not PS2. |
