Hi,

I'm playing the Tomb Raider I game and am trying to get into the cave in the Tomb of Tihocan (level 9) to get the gold key - which you have to have to go forward.

I know to jump and grab the crevice and swing to the right until I can stand up. However, once I get to the end of the crevice, the game will not let me slide further to the right so I can stand up.

I've tried everything, including restarting the game and restarting the Playstation.

I can't find anything about this problem, although I did find an obscure site that said you could make this level impossible if you killed Pierre earlier in the level. Apparently, if you kill him, he won't be able to drop important and NECESSARY items (like the stinkin' gold key), so you're in a no-win situation.

I did let him have it pretty good earlier, but even if he were dead, I don't see why that would make it impossible for me to traverse to the right to get into the room with the gold key. I mean, the room is still there, even if the key's not, right?

Anybody got any ideas? I really am fit to be tied over this one.

Hi there, J_Barrie. I'm sorry for not getting back to you, I've been on holiday.

Have you ever tried to use a Playstation emulator? This allows you to play your Playstation games on your PC by using an emulation program. All you need is the Game CD with the proper game image. You can also download Images for games but I beleive that is illegal. Here is a link.
